Setting the Cornerstone!

To The Brethren,

As the year is in full swing I thought I’d take some time to catch up and put some things out. First off let me again say thank you to all that participated and attended my Installation. You only get installed for the first time once and it is a great honor to preside as Worshipful Master of St. Andrews No. 35. Our lodge has recently seen some livening up and that excitement has found success in the things we do. My plan for this year is to solidify that success by setting a foundation and rediscovering that standard way of doing business that has made St. Andrews successful for so long. In my mind more important than how grand or successful our events are is that we establish a way of organizing them that can be set as a trestle board that our brothers can follow. I think that so far we have started on that path. Not every decision we have had to make has been pleasant, however we did it with the Grace and decorum that is required of Freemasons. We have had some fun and as the summer months roll in on us I hope to have more. Keep in touch with lodge for upcoming events and come out to our stated meetings as we will enjoy some guest speakers and masonic education. I want for us to continue to grow and we can only do that if we get out our trowel and spread that cement. Remember that we all as Masons will be called upon to labor in the Quarries and that when that time comes we should revel in the opportunity, for as Masons that is where we find the most joy. That joy comes from the satisfaction of wielding those tools we have endeavored to become masters of, with the hope that one day we shall show the world our art and craftsmanship in the work that we do.
